Helping Schools Help Families Help Children!

Dear Teachers, School Administrators, and Other Educators:

The Way to Go! FamilyLearningJournal (TM) is a simple,
dynamic way to build family involvement in education.

When families see teachers as fervent friends who love their children as much as the parents do, then the home-school alliance blooms! The Way to Go! FamilyLearningJournal (TM) system can help create that bond.

Use of this system addresses the parent involvement component of the
No Child Left Behind (Title I)
legislation that asks schools to build strong parent-teacher ties and help parents work with their children to improve academic achievement.

It is a unique system to support elementary schools in guiding families with pre-K to 3rd grade children to do what helps those children in school! It truly promotes the parent-teacher alliance.

We recommend that schools ensure that each family has a copy of the Way to Go! FamilyLearningJournal (TM) . Then the school can support every family in doing literacy-related activities throughout the year by distributing the carefully developed FAMILY ACTIVITIES available FREE on this website each month. To see a sample Family Activity, click here.
