1. What is the system?

This system supports families with young children in doing things that can help kids become better readers and learners.

Our system has three parts for families to use:
• Part One is the binder-kit that can be used by itself or with Athe other parts.
• Part Two is the FREE FAMILY ACTIVITIES available
Aeach month on this website.
• Part Three is the other FREE materials on this site.

We have materials for schools, too.

2. Where can I get this product and system?

3. What do I do when we run out of inside pages because we have filled them up?

Each comes with a “starter set” of inside sheets for families to write on and keep in the binder. Families, schools, or organizations that have purchased the journal are welcome to reproduce more copies of those pages on a copier machine. However, it is not permissible to reproduce those pages for sale or resale.

Also, on this website we have samples of those inside pages that you can download and print on a printer. To see or download them click here.

Finally, feel free to make your own pages and decorate them as you like. Any three-hole-punched paper — even regular notebook paper that you can buy at a drugstore or office supply store — will do!

4. How do I know what to put in each section of the binder?

There is A Guide to Using the with each binder that gives ideas about what you can put in each section.

But there are no “rules.” You can use the sections in whatever way works best for you and your family.

5. Do I need a computer to use the system?

No. You can use the binder all by itself. We hope it will inspire and support families to read aloud together, to talk about books, to explore their communities, and to do educational activities together.

However, the things you can get for FREE on the website are useful — for example, the monthly FAMILY ACTIVITIES, the BEST BOOKS lists, the Certificates, and so forth. If you don’t have a computer and printer, see if you can use one at your public library or at a school, so you can get these FREE things.
